About Me

Stitched slinky scallop.jpg

I am a third year Surface Pattern Design student based in Swansea, South Wales. During the past two years I have developed my own unique practice that has included using interesting objects that are often overlooked that I abstracted or made geometric with interesting colour combinations. I specialise in the interior context and I have experimented with different materials with other qualities

like hard surfaces etc glass and ceramics.

I'm particularly interested in working with paper creating wallpapers with tactility and textures throughout pattern. I often use stitch manipulation as a process to add tactility to my wallpaper designs which make my designs more bespoke.

I have used many different processes experimenting with combining digital and traditional methods. Some of my skill sets include: - laser cutting, digital and traditional stitch, screen-printing, sandblasting and some experimenting with ceramics. Collaboration and exhibition pieces have included a series of textile pieces, an up-cycled stool, a digitally printed tea towel, a hand stitched wallpaper, a wide collection of screen-printed and embroidered fabrics. My passion is having products that are multi-sensory experience for the viewer.
