When the opportunity arose for a group of us to collaborate with Jan Koen Lomans we chose to seize the opportunity to bring a part of Wales into the concept. We agreed to create a series of collaborative textile pieces that would all come together using work from his tapestry collection. Focusing on a natural theme, we chose to look at the Caswell Bay Beach.

After looking through his archive of work we were interested in his thought process before creating his work so we were also inspired to use a drawing of his to repurpose it and bring it to life with our skills.

I worked on creating a tactile piece that was created from deconstructing his older work and creating an entirely new piece while the original material was still present inside.
